Also, no lost children, at least for very long. Really the kids didn't get super sick of each other until the long drive home. We also didn't run out of food and no one got food poisoning.
There were only a few bug bites. Only a few meltdowns and most children just had a few moments where parental supervision was required.
There was water to wade in during the hot afternoons. Snacking on good food when dinner was being made (even when not sanctioned by the adults present). Lots of great talking between friends. A great drive through the mountains in the Salmon area of Idaho. A picnic lunch in the middle of no where with only the pine trees and wild life for Company.
An Eagle, four antelope, a bear, numerous deer and endless wildflowers were spotted. Three types of flowers were even identified by Jane in a book of native wildflowers.
One morning allowed Kent and myself a leisurely bike ride before anyone else was up.
Camping success?
I vote yes.
A bike ride with the hubby...and undoubtedly a pocketful of soggy tissues. Now that's Love!
